The Rotary Club of Austintown has selected Fitch senior Aseel Ramahi as the local winner of the annual 4 Way Speech Contest. The speakers are instructed to take the principles of Rotary's 4 Way test and apply them to current life and often their own experiences. Aseel won with the concept of a person living within two cultures and the ability for two cultures to live at peace despite their differences. She will continue the competition at the district level in North Canton on Mar. 20. Shown in the picture are Rachel Solida, vocational chairman of Austintown Rotary, Aseel Ramahi, and club President Brian Laraway.

FELLOWSHIP: Tony Cebriak was in charge of fellowship, he says it's the first time since he joined, hard to think he got away this long. He made up for it, by opening the floor to HAPPY BUCKS, which brought 5 members to the floor: Vince happy that Watson school cafeteria ladies were on TV, Toby because of going on vacation to warm place, Gary because he was babysitting today and got relieved to come, Tony, because no more snow today, and Brian Laraway because his wife was shown on jumbo TV at the Phantoms game last Friday. That was not the end, as Tony then pulled a Chuck Baker and fined anyone without both Rotary pins, then he fined those who did for laughing at those who didn't!!!!!!!! He made a lot of money today.
RAFFLE: Vince won the drawing, but not the big one.
PROGRAM Today was the 4 Way Speech Contest, and we found ourselves with only one contestant who was the winner, both before and after she spoke. Aseel Ramahi, one of our Interact members for three years, gave a very inspirational speech about her living a double life and the ability to have two cultures co-exist within one person. She will go on to district contest in North Canton in March.
Toby Mirto closed with the quote: "The American dream is not that every man must be level with every other man. The American dream is that every man must be free to become whatever God intended he should become." Ronald Reagan
