The Midlothian Free Health Clinic offers free, primary health care to uninsured residents of Greater Youngstown.  They began their services in March of 2008 and since have served over 120 clients.  While the target service area is the city of Youngstown and its adjacent suburbs, they are the only free health clinic in the Mahoning Region. Their clients have come not only from        MahoningCounty, but also from Trumbull and ColumbianaCounties.  Their Mission Statement is: "To offer free quality primary health care to the uninsured living in Greater Youngstown."

Services atthe clinic are primary, non-emergency, non-surgical care (similar to familypractice) and health education. They can provide a voucher program for low costmedications, and refer patients to other health care service providers forsurgical, blood lab, and x-ray/MRI services.  Over $160 million has beenspent in donated funds for health care in our valley for those withoutinsurance. Their volunteers donate their time and work diligently withpatients who have no insurance or means for primary care. Because the need isgreat for these services, they have grown faster than their resources are able toprovide. It is difficult to sustain private fundraising while at the same timeproviding volunteer-based services.  They are asking for help from thecommunity to not only maintain, but to grow the services provided. Anyonewishing to help with donations or as a volunteer please contact Rev. Robert A.Johnson at 330-881-1860 or by e-mail:         rfjohnson@netzero.com.
