Mark Cole introduced Joe Chevraux, director of Multiple Sclerosis Society on Mahoning Valley, headquarters in Canfield.  They are not associated with the national organization in Cleveland, so all money raised stays here.  He mentioned stress as the greatest cause of MS, and there is no cure yet because it causes lesions on the brain and spinal cord.  Locally, his group does not charge for their services, providing water aerobics at YMCA, free loan of mobility equipment, prescription assistance programs.  Their main fund raisers are their golf outing, fall walk in Mill Creek Park, concerts, and on Nov. 5, a 20th Anniversary Gala at Lake Club, with some wonderful prizes.  Cost is $75. per person includes a great meal, great cause.

Deanna Spirko called meeting to order, asked Gary Reel to lead invocation, pledge and God Bless America.  Visitors were John Garda, Tracy Kaglic from school architects, Robert Hughes from Cuyahoga Falls, Dan Rowland and George Thompson from Warren Rotary.    Vince led the song: All Hail to Rotary, tune of Anchors Aweigh.  Mark Cole reported on the Awesometown Festival last Saturday, weather perfect, large group of displays and cars, our club gave out 183 Literacy Kits in two hours, kids loved them.  Group is already making plans for next year.

NEXT WEEK IS A CHANGE:  Our Monday meeting is cancelled in favor of a six club meeting TUESDAY, Oct. 18 at the Holiday Inn in Boardman, featuring Henry Shea from Minnesota, speaking about business ethics, especially white collar crime.  Lunch is at 12, you must have a reservation in advance through Deanna!!!!   Meeting will be done by 1 p.m. for those on schedule.  If you cannot make it and want to hear him, he will be at Fitch Wednesday at 10.  Both count as a meeting.
