At the January 15 meeting of the Rotary Club of Austintown, three international exchange students and their advisors visited to explain the Rotary Exchange Program and the students' experiences in the United States.

Rotary began their inbound and outbound exchange programs in 1927, and many American students have had terrific, life changing adventures in the countries where Rotary Clubs exist, now numbering 186.

The other part of the program is hosting inbound students from the same countries where Americans are sent. The Rotary Clubs provide housing and spending money to the student being hosted by their club, and help with transportation and provide cultural opportunities during the stay.

The three students who visited Austintown are being hosted by the Boardman and Canfield Rotary Clubs. Each had a chance to visit during the noon meal at the Saxon Club, then speak during the meeting.

Larry and Sieglinde Warren, local Rotary International coordinators, introduced the students, marked by their colorful jackets covered with pins from the places they have visited while in the US.
