The Austintown Rotary has a reason to be proud of some of their younger members. Four of their members have beennominated for the Mahoning Valley Professionals 40 Under 40 Awards.
The 40 Under 40 Awards were created by the Mahoning Valley Professional (MVP) 20/30 Club three years ago to honor men and women age 40 and under who are making an impact in their chosen professions and have demonstrated a commitment to community involvement.
The Austintown Rotary Nominees are lead by the club'sPresident, Reverend Karl Rein, their Vice President, Dr. Michael Cafaro, Community Service Chair, David Buttar, and Club Service Chair, Brian Laraway.
Reverend Karl Rein has served as pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Austintown, for seven years. Before that he served as pastor of White Creek Lutheran Church in Columbus, Indiana. He feels the Mahoning Valley is a wonderful place to have his family and raise his children. "The people are gracious and very giving".
Dr. Michael J. Cafaro, is a Chiropractic Physician and Owner of Cafaro Chiropractic Clinic. He opened his chiropractic clinic in Mineral Ridge in 2005. Prior to that he was an associate doctor at Weaver Family Chiropractic Clinic in Austintown. Born and raised in Austintown he loves serving his community. He enjoys caring for the children of Chernobyl when they visit the US to receive health care. He donates his services each year to this cause.
David Buttar is a Shareholder at Yurchyk &Davis CPA'S Inc. David feels that the Valley possesses a number of treasures that make this a great place to live and raise a family. He began is career at Yurchyk & Davis in 1998 and was promoted to shareholder in 2004.
Brian Laraway began his career at Bury Financial Group in July 2006 after working in a similar capacity at Brennan Financial Group for almost 4 years. Born and raised in the Mahoning Valley, he feels fortunate to be a member of a new class of young professionals who have elected to stay in or return to the region and defend Youngstown through continued improvements in our local economy.
According to the MVP 20/30 Club website (www.mvp2030club.org), "Each honoree is recognized at the awards ceremony, and five of the 40 will be distinguished for special accolades as MVP Award winners. Both the 40 honorees and top 5 are selected by a small committee, formed by the Community Foundation, based upon professional and service categories." All proceeds from the event will benefit the Young Philanthropist Fund, which was created through a partnership between theCommunity Foundation of the Mahoning Valley and the MVP 20/30 Club.
The Awards will take place on November 15, 2007 at Stambaugh Auditorium at 6pm. Tickets are available through Stambaugh Auditorium and sponsorship opportunities are available through the Community Foundation of the MahoningValley or the MVP 20/30 Club.
