Ron Carroll introduced Dr. Robert Marcus, who is with the Veterans Administration in Youngstown. He spoke about the suicide prevention program started in 2005, and reported that they had rescued over 10,000 vets with the Suicide Hotline (280,000 calls) and followed up on them. There are about 42 million veterans in the population, but current ones seem to have more problems with Post Traumatic Stress.

* Susan announced that dictionaries are almost finished, Watson and Woodside left to do.
* In November, we will collect chewable children's vitamins for the El Salvador project, can still bring microwave popcorn, toothbrushes and paste, and kids DVD's.
* Leadership Conference in Canton was changed to Nov. 13, Ron cannot gothat day so we need a representative.
* Rescue Mission is tonight; Gary, Hillary, Bruce and 4 Interact students will serve the meal, Rotary provides ice cream.
* Raffle tickets for Taste of Austintown will be ready next week, we sell them for $5. and keep half of money.
* Rotary International Convention is in New Orleans from May 21 to 25.
* Vince encouraged members to attend the Boardman Fitch football game this Friday, enjoy a free tailgate party from 5-7 in the tennis courts.
* Gary announced district Interact meeting in Salem on Nov. 6, 8 students and 2 advisors from Fitch will attend, club will pay fees.
* Woodside Reads program started last Wednesday, sponsored by our club, more volunteers needed.

Chuck Baker mentioned great pictures in Rotary magazine this month showing the theme of Ending Polio on some great landmarks of the world.
FELLOWSHIP: Mark Cole had fellowship and fined anyone who didn't go to thelast Fitch game in Uniontown.
RAFFLE: Ram won the drawing but not the big one.
