Celebration Grove Phase II was recently completed at Austintown Township Park by the Rotary Club of Austintown.

Phase I was developed by Rotary in conjunction with the Austintown Growth Foundation and the 20/20 Steering Committee in 2004 to celebrate 100 years of Rotary. 100 trees were planted at that time, purchased by various people from the community. Benches were also installed.

The Phase II project included construction of a large, five-tiered patio of pavers centered in the Grove. The patio was designed and installed by Jack Kumik owner of AABCO Landscape and Design and also a member of Rotary.

The official Celebration was held Saturday, August 4 at 6:30 p.m. in Austintown Township Park. Festivities began with the ribbon cutting attended by Trustees and community leaders as well as the original tree donors. A concert by the Canfield Community Concert Band followed the official part of the ceremony conducted by Austintown Rotarian, Tony Cebriak. Refreshments followed at the Pogany Pavilion.
